It is often the case that disputes or tension arise within families even before a loved one passes away.

The Court places significant emphasis on mediation, however this often only occurs after litigation has commenced, and parties have spent considerable time and money on preparation of evidence. Mediation at this stage usually has the sole focus of achieving a financial settlement.

Mediation however can achieve more than that. By engaging in mediation early, the parties can come up with solutions that may not just be financial but work for them.
