Elder Law.
What is Elder law?
Elder law is essentially a focus on the legal issues that impact or may impact those particularly of the older generation. These include everything from accommodation (such as retirement villages, aged care), finances (powers of attorney, reverse mortgages, inter-family loans), care requirements (enduring guardianships), estate planning and elder abuse issues.
Not many firms specialise in this area, and it is important to see a solicitor who is experienced in all types of issues in relation to elder law.
